Hey there! I hope your Friday is treating you well so far.
I just got back from a customer appreciate event I was doing for work, so blogging got pushed a little later than usual. Usually the blog features my standard Faith in My Friday post, but I’m just not feeling it today. I tried to write a post about it last night and it just wasn’t coming out right. Oh well!
I had a lot of fun doing my beauty day yesterday & going to my husband’s work formal.
I mentioned yesterday how I wanted to do my makeup & try contouring, and it all turned out really well! I loved the look contouring gave me. If only my camera could really show the results of it. I would definitely recommend trying it sometime.
I was at a loss as to how to do my hair, though, as I’m not good with hairstyling. I ended up putting it half up with a little poof on top, my bangs to the side, and loose curls. Not very original, but it at least looked good (for me).
Of course, the only good picture I got that wasn’t blurry, I look like a deer in the headlights 😉
When we got there, every woman was greeted with a rose (which I sadly forgot to bring home). Then there was a cocktail hour, where we had some wine & snacked on fruit, cheese, and veggies.
By the time dinner came, I was so starving. While I was busy getting ready, I kind of forgot to eat a snack before leaving so I was beyond ready to eat. I didn’t even attempt to take a picture of my very full plate of food before I inhaled it. Like literally inhaled. Classy, I know.
They served us chicken with stuffing, green beans, salad, rice pilaf, and rolls. It honestly probably wasn’t that good, but it tasted so good to me because I was so hungry! We also got some cupcakes/cake for dessert.
Funny thing happened, as soon as we walked in, I saw another lady in the same dress. I thought it was pretty funny, since what are the chances of that? What’s even weirder though is we were sat at the same table!
People came up to us all night and asked if we were friends or planned it or something. Nope! I think this picture is so funny too, because the way we’re standing makes it look like our dress is one continuous piece or something.
Overall, it was a really fun time. I just wish the event wasn’t on a Thursday night. I woke up today thinking that it was for sure Saturday and was very surprised when my alarm went off!
Questions for You:
- Would you be upset if someone else was wearing the same dress as you? I didn’t mind one bit, and thought it made a great conversation starter with everyone.
- What are your plans for the weekend? I’m going apple picking tomorrow!
