I have never been a huge fan of What I Ate Wednesday, but the more I read WIAW posts and see what people eat, the more I actually find it interesting.
I’m all about healthy eating too, so I figured why not give it a try. I don’t think this is something I want to do weekly, but just every once in a while when I have some interesting eats to share.
Here’s is what I ate from yesterday.
I headed out the door in a rush, so I whipped up this variation of my pineapple mango smoothie.
I added orange juice instead of mango and it tasted almost like an Orange Julius! Very yummy and fresh.
However, after about an hour at work, I was already hungry. I should have added oats or grabbed a piece of toast with the smoothie. Since I didn’t have anything else I bought a blueberry muffin at the shop at my work.
It was okay, enough to tide me over at least but super processed.
I was also in a rush at lunch (and this morning when I packed lunch) so I had this Amy’s bean burrito with some seltzer water.
I really dislike having frozen foods in general, but this is organic, tastes amazes, and is only whole ingredients so I can deal.
On lunch, I ran some errands at the mall and grabbed this pumpkin spice cheesecake truffle from Godiva.
It was actually a huge let down! Get the regular pumpkin spice one instead if you get anything at all.
Around 3pm, I had some apple slices with peanut butter.
This apple was soooo crisp. I love that apples are coming into season for real right now!
Then after I got home, my husband text me that he would be late and I knew dinner would take quite a while to make. I grabbed a baggie of my homemade cheez-its to tide me over.
They are sooo good!
Dinner did take a while to make, but hubby made it and it was great (like everything he makes).
We had barbecued chicken, green beans with spices and onions, and watermelon feta salad.
And that’s it! That’s a pretty typical day for me except that my breakfast is usually a little beefier. I am also a super snacker and could probably eat three snacks a day if I let myself!
