Happy hump day!
I ate some yummy things last Friday, so I’d thought I’d share with another round of WIAW.
I like to go to my favorite bakery down the street for some oh-so-good pastries and great drip coffee every couple of weeks.
Nothing really says Friday like a little treat first thing in the morning!
My go to is… a raspberry filled croissant (ahhhmazing), a petit blueberry scone, & a half decaf/half hazelnut coffee with cream. I also brought some fresh blueberries & strawberries to get something sort of healthy in.
This is my perfect breakfast!
Lunch wasn’t anything extra special, but it hit the spot for me.
English muffin pizza and carrots & cucumbers dipped in Trader Joe’s classic hummus. Also eaten at my desk…
Two different people brought in Dunkin Donuts Munchkins boxes at work that day. Could this always-craving-crap pregnant lady resist? Heck no.
And of course, there were a bunch of butternut ones which are my favorite ever. I may have had
one two five…
I also had a healthy snack though, an unpictured raspberry Chobani. I just ate it before I realized it!
Friday was date night. We went out to a popular place nearby that actually had a significant wait. I usually won’t wait for food these days, but it was so worth it.
We got two appetizers: buffalo Brussel sprouts with bleu cheese dip (not pictured) and ricotta & mozzarella bites with honey. OMG were these good.
They were basically cheesy fried balls of goodness, but they weren’t greasy or heavy at all. So yum!
For an entre I opted for a burger, which I rarely do, but it totally hit the spot.
It was actually served totally plain, like there was American cheese and the bun. But something about it was so incredibly tasty. Must have just been really good beef! I got it with a side of broccolini & an ICB Rootbeer.
Friday was a very satisfying day of eats! I wish I could relive it!
