I always love seeing other bloggers share their beauty faves, so I thought I’d give it a go myself.
I do wear makeup just about every day, but I am a creature of habit and pretty much have the same routine, unless it’s for a special event. I don’t really use anything fancy – just what works for me 🙂
Foundation // Cover Girl Ready, Set, Gorgeous liquid & powder foundation
This is a recent addition to my make up. I was using Mary Kay foundation before but ran out and it was the wrong color for my winter skin anyway.
I have a really hard time finding a foundation that matches my skin color while actually covering well. This does both, although I’m not a fan of cheapie drug store brands because of the ingredients. But for now, it’s working.
Eye Shadow // Elf 6 Color Neutrals Pallet
I got this Elf pallet at Target for $3. THREE dollars! The bottom left color is a perfect gold/brown that makes my eye color pop. I am so lazy that I don’t use anything else. Sometimes I use the darker colors to go more dramatic/line my eyes, but this is legit all I use right now.
Blush // Mary Kay Blush/Bronzer Combo
I don’t wear blush every day and only do bronzer for special occasions or in the summer. I LOVE this tri-color blush, but it’s sadly been discontinued for a long time. I will be sad to see it go. Maybe I should check into some Merle Norman cosmetics and skincare potions as they have some products that are similar to Mary Kay.
Mascara // SmashBox Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara (Black) & Maybelline One by One Mascara (Brown)
So mascara is the one thing I’ve decided I’m okay with splurging on. This SmashBox stuff is $20, which I think is a lot of for mascara. I got a sample of it once and fell in love, though. It’s totally worth it to me because mascara is my favorite type of make up. The brush is fantastic!
When I’m not wanting to look as done up or I want to use brown, I use the Maybelline one. It’s not bad for drug store kind.
Tools // Sigma Makeup Brushes & a Revlon eyelash curler
These brushes are awesome! My sister got me these for Christmas 2 years ago and they have held up great.
They are actually travel size, but great for every day use as well. I’ll buy another set in a heartbeat when these get old.
These have been in my makeup bag for months now. They do the job & work pretty well. If I had more time, I’d love to spend more time on my makeup & use a lot of other make up that I have, but pregnancy has made me pretty lazy. I also tend to do less for makeup in the winter because my skin gets quite dry so makeup doesn’t look as good on my skin.
