We are now a family of four and loving it. On April 2nd at 5:48 AM, our sweet Stella made her entrance into the world.
We have all been in love with her ever since! Thank you so much for those of you who have already wished us well. We really are doing well, so much better than I thought we would be with two under two.
I’m thankful to say that her birth was a really great experience, although totally different than my birth with Claire. I can’t wait to share her birth story hopefully sooner than later before I forget it all! Recovery has been a lot easier and better this time around too, which is such a blessing considering my hands are twice as full this time around.
Stella is healthy, sleeps a ton, & is a very good eater. She is a super easy going baby and I can already tell she has such a different personality than her independent sister.
Claire has adjusted really well and doesn’t seem to have any jealousy issues (yet). She loves to go in a room and point out where the baby is. She’ll give her kisses and loves to bring her a blanket or pacifier (although she doesn’t really take one!).
Overall, the adjustment from one to two kids has seemed so much easier than zero to one. But I also think the newborn stage is the easiest when their needs are simple and easy to meet and they aren’t mobile yet. What a lot of you said about it being harder come 6-8 months from now once the little one is mobile, I definitely think that will be harder than this is now!
Anyway, we are just soaking up these fleeting newborn days. My hubby is off to spend time with us and my in-laws arrive this week for a few weeks. I’m so grateful for family time and will be focusing on just that for the next couple of weeks!
