Thanks for the support on yesterday’s post. I hope ya’ll didn’t think I was coming off as too unrealistic, but just realizing that I want change and to not just hope for stuff to happen!
Something really good about this week has been our meal plan. I got back from the wedding late Sunday night but then had to get to work early Monday morning. We had nothing to eat. Thankfully, we went out to eat Sunday night and I had some leftover pizza & salad to munch on.
However, since I was working Monday and my husband had the day off, he meal planned and went to the store for us – by himself.
Just so you know, this has never happened before. Everrrrrr. I let him have the reins completely and when I got home, there was magically healthy food in the fridge and four meals planned for the week.
And then, he put dinner on the table for me. We even had a meatless Monday – veggie stir fry over white rice.
And then Tuesday night, since he got home well before me, he made dinner again. Another great vegetarian fare: roasted brussel sprouts with onions, carrots, cauliflower steaks, & rolls.
To say I’m impressed and grateful is an understatement! My husband has been so helpful with everything at home since I got my job.
Since he usually gets home earlier than me, it’s likely that he will be starting dinner from now on. I’ll probably keep it an even trade by doing the dishes and then packing our lunches for the next day after dinner. Works for me!
Since I haven’t had the most time in the world to get a good workout in, I made this leg circuit up on the spot the other night.
When I want a good workout, I like working my legs over any other part of my body because it makes me feel like I really did something. Arms and abs just don’t do that for me.
This no-equiptment workout can be done anywhere, specifically targeting those hard-to-tone areas on legs. I did 5 sets of the circuit, but if you’re even shorter on time, you could do three.
I also decided to do little pulses for the last set instead of the whole move. That really makes you feel the burn!
