Yesterday, I had the chance to break out my old yoga mat to try some hot yoga for the first time. I love regular yoga, but hadn’t been to an actual class in ages. One of my girlfriends offered for me to join her at her hot yoga class, so I thought I’d give it a go.
Holy sweaty! It was by far the sweatiest workout of my life! Like… my clothes were sopping wet after and sweat was dripping onto my mat! Crazy sweaty.
But it was so good! I was skeptical about it at first because I really dislike being super hot, but it was not uncomfortable at all. The class I took was a very intense type of yoga, with lots of quick movement. It really challenged me and felt like an amazing workout as well as stretched out my tight runners legs.
And this morning, I could definitely feel it. I am so sore, especially on my back. I actually have a crick in my neck today, but I’m not sure if it’s from yoga or just sleeping on it wrong…
But the best part is that I got to do the class for free too! The studio I went to offers free classes if you clean around the studio for 15 minutes. Total deal to me! I will definitely be doing that class again.
Today I don’t really have any plans, but we did welcome another furry visitor for the week. An acquaintance’s dog, Teddy. He’s a Shi Tzu Maltese mix.
Isn’t his name fitting? He looks just like a teddy bear!
I love having two dogs around because then the Beanie baby isn’t a velcro dog anymore (aka, glued to me). It’s also just nice to have more company and another friend to go on walks with.
Well, I’ve got to finish a book for my book club tomorrow. I’m not feeling so hot, so I’m just gonna take it easy. Have a great night!
