Can you believe the month is already almost over? I seriously feel like a broken record every time I say this, but it’s true!
If you’re anything like me, you may have not gotten as much done as you planned for this month. I realize that my goals are ambitious, but I’d rather shoot for the moon and land among the stars than not set goals that will push me to new places.
I definitely didn’t get everything crossed off my to do list, but I did pretty well.
Tasks with the smilies means I completed them! I’m honestly really happy with my progress for the challenge.
I definitely could have done more, but after the events in Boston, I just let go of all my goals for a while. They didn’t seem as important. And I just lost the motivation to do organizational type tasks for a little while too.
I didn’t end up doing anything with scrapbooking. The motivation just never struck me. Oh well – another time! And I didn’t get my “other projects” completed either, which included putting photos in some frames and going through my recipe books.
I still want to do these tasks, but I’m not going to waste a second dwelling on the fact that I didn’t get them done this month. Oh well 🙂
A Quick Recap
The first thing I did was clean out my car. Easy and it needed to be done.
I got adventurous and organized underneath my bathroom sink, even though that wasn’t one of my goals.
I cleaned out my closet and found plenty to donate. And it’s been donated already! Woohoo!
I deep cleaned my apartment in stages. Initially, my goal was to have a whole day dedicated to cleaning. Normally, this greatly appeals to me. This month, not so much. I deep cleaned over the course of two weeks, and that worked just as well.
I organized my hall closets, and it was much less daunting than I made it out to be. I got rid of a few things and reorganized everything a little better. You can’t see a huge difference in the photo, but I actually took everything off the shelves and put it back better. Worth it!
I cleaned out my desk area too and went through stacks of papers and folders full of stuff. Lots was throw out and more room was made for later.
I also took some time to do a little blog spring cleaning. I finally organized all my blog photos into folders so I can actually find things!
I definitely feel like I accomplished some of my much-needed home tasks this month with a combination of cleaning and organizing.
Challenge Participant Recap’s
Thanks to everyone who took part of this challenge with me! I hope you reached some if not all of your organizational goals. I’m glad we could all work together toward happier more organized lives.
Here are some recap posts of what others did.
If you have a recap post that I did not include, please email me at freeingimperfection at gmail dot com. I’ll get it up right away.
Questions for You:
- Does it bother you to set goals bigger than you can accomplish, or are you okay with not getting everything done?
- Would you rather organize when it’s warm or cold out?
