Happy Halloween & happy Foodie Pen Pals reveal day!
These cupcakes have nothing to do with my FPP box for this month, but I just happen to be the
best co-worker ever nice so I thought I’d make my favorite pumpkin spice cupcakes for my office today 🙂
If you’re new to FPP, it’s an awesome food swap done monthly with bloggers and fellow blog readers. It’s free, fun, and you can do it any time you like. I’ve only done FPP once before back in April, and I guess I just never got around to signing up again. I’m so glad I did, though.
This month, I was paired up with Tracie. She’s not a blogger, but you can tweet with her here. She sent me this super cute Halloween-themed note 🙂
In my box was… pumpkin scone mix, pumpkin butter, GU gels in orange and coffee flavors, peanut butter, two different kinds of chocolate, pumpkin butter, and pumpkin spice granola.
Now, I told Tracie I liked pumpkin and chocolate. Did she listen? Yes! Everything in my box was right up my alley, but my favorite was definitely the pumpkin spice granola.
I had it on top of some pumpkin yogurt (yeah, I know, I’m really good at getting my pumpkin fix!) and it was great. It was so good that I asked Tracie for the recipe. She used this one. Will so be making that sometime!
The scone mix was also really, really good. I typically don’t like anything from a mix because they’re full of garbage, but this was totally pure ingredients and it tasted amazing. I munched on them all week with the pumpkin butter. Perfect!
Now I know it’s Halloween and all, but other than being a little festive with my cupcakes, I have zero plans for tonight. Lame, I know. I’ve never been too terribly into dressing up and parties, but I’ll eat candy any day 😉 It’ll just be me and pup hanging out!
Questions for You:
- What’s the one flavor that you can eat in every form? (Obv. for me: pumpkin!)
- Plans for tonight? Do you hand out candy?
