I had the honor of celebrating my first Mother’s Day with my sweet baby & my mom. Since my mom and I don’t live close by, that’s a pretty big deal!
My mom flew in on Saturday and is spending the whole week with us 🙂
On Sunday we had a nice slow morning, went to church, & then went to a paint it yourself pottery place to made some cute keepsakes.
I made this travel mug for myself.
It says “Mom Est. 2015” and on the back I tried to get her handprints (pretty hard to do with scrunchy newborn hands, but still cute) and wrote her name. I can’t wait to use it!
And I also made this tray for my mother-in-law – Grammy, as she wants to be called – who’s visiting next week as a late Mother’s Day present.
My mom made a trivet with Claire’s footprints on it too. And little Claire did awesome even though she wasn’t a huge fan of her feet being painted. I am such a sucker for baby hands & feet on things.
It was a really fun day. It’s been so special for me to have this time with my mom so far & to spend my first mother’s day with her. I definitely have a new appreciation for my mom since I am one myself now. This mother’s day really brought the whole motherhood thing full circle for me.
Grandma has definitely been enjoying herself too.
I probably won’t be blogging much the rest of this week so I can soak up all the time I can with my mom. If you don’t hear from me, have a good week!
