Good morning, folks!
Yesterday ended up being a busy day, but I was greeted with some very pretty New England snow in the morning. It hasn’t snowed much in New England AT ALL since I moved here, which has honestly been kind of disappointing. If it’s going to be cold, at least snow please. Love it 🙂
Recap of yesterday (as I wanted to blog but didn’t have time: story of my life): zipped through a tough incline workout, had to take my car in for a repair, met with some girlfriends in the afternoon, had to get the hubs to pick something up for dinner as we had nothing planned. Annnndddd… I got a surprise package in the mail. I wasn’t expecting anything, so I was really curious as to why there was a package from Amazon addressed to me. I assumed it was for the hubs or something, and thought nothing of it when I started to open it. But then I realized it was a Kindle Fire HD from my dad as a college graduation present! Totally didn’t expect it and was so shocked when I opened it.
Behold the Kindle Fire!
Woohoo! To say I’m excited about this new piece of technology is an understatement. I haven’t gotten any new tech gadgets in a loonnngg time (besides my cell phone). I think the last new tech thing I got was an iPod nano, like 4 years ago? Yeah, I don’t really keep up with tech gadgets that much! This is something I definitely never would have gotten for myself, as I just think I don’t have the need for it. But I can already tell that I’m going to use this a lot. I wasn’t familiar with Kindle’s at all before I got this, so I just assumed it was an eReader. But the Kindle Fire (not just regular Kindle, as there is a difference) is basically Amazon’s version of a tablet. This thing can do internet, download apps & games, play music, be used as an eReader, and more I’m sure.
I think my Kindle (should I name it? It’d be easier to refer to it if it was named…) will definitely come in handy for blogging too.
Today is another get-up-and-go kind of day, so I’ve gotta eat lunch and then head to work. Have a great afternoon and a happy Thursday!
- Question for you: Snow: love it or hate it?
