I am Heather and I blog over at Fit ‘n’ Cookies! When Melissa contacted me to write a post for her, I was more than eager to share something I love! I hope she is off enjoying the outside with her hubby and puppy!
Melissa’s blog is one that I make sure I read everyday because she is an amazing writer, and I consider us to be BFFs, even if she doesn’t know it yet! (<– Um, Yes we are!)
Let’s talk about what I love. Fitness. All kinds of fitness! I love to talk about workouts, try new workouts, and create new workouts on my blog! Exercising is a huge part of my life, and I try to stay active throughout the day as well as fitting in a workout. I am now participating in Best Body Bootcamp, which means I don’t have to come up with my own workouts everyday, but I still enjoy creating new ones and finding new muscles I haven’t used before!
One of the biggest aspects of exercise I can stress to you, is that if you don’t enjoy it, you won’t do it. I didn’t use to like working out. In high school, the 2 lap track warmup was enough to kill me. Now? You can find me running most days of the week, and lifting weights at least 3 times a week. It’s what I love, and why I keep coming back! Truth be told, I never feel completely myself unless I fit in a workout that day!
There are so many different types of workouts that you need to find one that you love. There’s spinning, running, walking, biking, hiking, Zumba, bootcamp, etc. You just need to find one that works for you and make it a commitment. Don’thope to get a workout in at some point in your day, because our days get busy and something gets pushed to the side. Make it a priority to get a workout in! Schedule it into your day like it is a meeting, and you will be less likely to throw it to the side.
Now that you know a little bit about my love for fitness, and the variety of workouts you can do, it’s time to share a workout! This one is based on a circuit format, which means you complete the entire thing, and then repeat 2-3 more times! Make sure you take rests when needed, and look up proper form on exercises you may not be familiar with!
Here are some links for videos of exercises you may not know:
Hope you enjoy it, and make sure you stop on over to my blog sometime soon! I’d love to have you around!
