Happy Friday 🙂
It’s been a couple months since I did one of these posts because of my blogging break and oh, you know, moving across the country. Here’s a little update on what’s been going on in my life lately.
Reading // A Fierce Flourshing, the MOPs personal study for the year
It’s a collection of short articles written by moms with some reflection questions at the end. I’m really liking it so far. I’ll be sharing more about how I’m MOPs is going for me soon.
Needing // To stop online window shopping. I am two days into my shopping fast but I have been on Carter’s, Target, and Amazon online the past few days just looking at stuff. Granted, it’s all baby stuff that we will eventually need.
I was trying to buy all of Claire’s clothing and thing she might need before the shopping fast, so that I wasn’t trapped into having a shopping habit again. But I guess Claire will kind of be the one exception to the fast because she does need more clothes.
Loving // that I found a running trail near by!
I was worried that once I left Boston, I’d never find good places to run again. I mean, nothing will ever beat running along the Charles River. But this path is really nice!
Not Loving // that Texas has no semblance of fall. I finally put out my fall decor, which I’m normally dying to put out by September first. I made some apple cider donuts yesterday to bring to a play date today, but it just doesn’t feel like fall at all.
I went on a walk yesterday when it was 90 degrees and came back drenched in sweat. So much for fall! I’m trying!
Craving // my sweaters. I just finished unpacking all my clothes and went through all my sweaters. Most my wardrobe is sweaters. I miss them and wasn’t able to wear a lot of them last year because I was pregnant. Thinking I can break them out for about 2.5 seconds in Texas before it’s too hot again!
Putting off // organizing my office area and my IKEA unit in my living room. I’ve been trying but the organization bug just hasn’t hit me. The rest of the house is pretty well organized, but the more tedious to organize things I am definitely putting off. I’m trying to remind myself that we’re moving again in six months so I have to get with it!
Happy about // Claire’s nursery finally getting put together! This makes me soooo happy. We didn’t do her nursery right away because of the move, but now that we’re here, it’s finally coming together.
Here’s a sneak peak.
I’ll be sharing a full nursery tour soon, just waiting for the rest of the curtains to come in. I’m so happy with how it turned out 🙂
Scared to // Keep going with T25. I just finished the “Alpha” round, which is the first five week segment of the program. I have been getting decent results, but know that I need to put in more effort and know it’s going to get even harder in the Beta phase. I was really scared of Insanity before too but it’s always been such a great experience.
Looking forward to // Going back home to Colorado in November. I booked a trip for just Claire and I to see my family and friends again. I’m super nervous to fly with her as she’ll be seven months then, but I’m excited to get to go back to Colorado for a second time this year, this time with Claire.
Questions for You:
- What are you happy about, putting off, or loving lately?
- Does it feel like fall where you are? I think it’s unseasonably warm in most places this year.
