Aloha! Thanks for all the excitement and well wishes on the new blog. I’m very happy I made the switch.
In the coming weeks, I think I’ll share my experience of how I switched and redirected my domain since so many bloggers seem to be interested at this at some point in their blogging career.
Anyway – on to currently. Here’s what has been up with me recently.
Reading // Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty. She is really becoming one of my favorite authors, as this is my third book I’ve read by her this year. It’s a story about triplet sisters who have a lot of drama going on!
Loving // The weather. I’m sorry, I had to say it. It is amazing to have basically perfect weather all the time (although it does get very rainy and humid here on occasion too, just not for long).
Not Loving // Lower back pain. I’ve had on and off lower back pain since I was pregnant. I had terrible back pain postpartum that I thought I mostly relieved by generally getting stronger through strength training and focusing on my core, but it’s all back again (pun intended, haha…). I’m absolutely dreading how bad my back will probably hurt instantly the next time I get pregnant too!
I’m working on seeing a chiropractor soon to see if that helps me out some.
Drinking // Only decaf at home lately unless I really really want a coffee and a place does not have decaf. It seems to be helping.
The other day I also had pineapple iced tea that was amazing and a Pina Colada out of a whole pineapple which was pretty cool!
Needing // Nothing really comes to mind but motivation to work out. I have been doing Insanity since we got here for the most part. The last two weeks have been really lacking for me and I just feel tired/not ready to workout all day.
I should be moving onto the month two portion of Insanity, but I’m dreading it because the videos are over an hour long. Someone please tell me the results are always worth the hassle so I get my butt moving!
Wanting // A tripod and shutter button. I almost bought them, but did anyone notice that Amazon changed their free shipping limit to $49 now? Yeah, not cool.
I don’t have/want Prime because I just don’t use Amazon that much (and two day shipping to Hawaii is more like 10 days to 4 weeks, someone told me!). In general, I just want all the camera accessories lately. Any recommendations, I’m all ears.
Wearing // A goal of mine with the new blog is to share more about fashion, so I think I’ll start including “wearing” in my currently posts now.
I’ve been wearing all the comfy clothes. Mostly dresses and super comfy tanks and t-shirts with shorts.
I got this SUPER soft t-shirt the other day at Ross for $7! Loving all-things-striped lately.
Craving // Routine. It has been over a month since we moved to Hawaii/have lived out a hotel. It has officially gotten old not having a kitchen/having to eat out, and not having anything baby proofed.
My husband’s work schedule is of all over the place, so it’s been hard to have a routine to workout consistently, plan for me time, keep C on a consistent schedule sometimes. I hope to come up with a better plan and not just use the “we are in limbo right now” as an excuse, because it’s been going on too long.
Putting off // Sending pictures to my mom and making my MIL a photo book of the Mother’s Day photos we took. Oops! So much for that being their Mother’s Day gift. Sorry, mom!
Praying about // Our housing situation (looking really good right now!), my anxiety, family planning and when to have another baby,
Happy about // Being able to walk to this while I drink my morning coffee.
It’s about a 15 minute walk from my hotel. It’s a lovely start to the day.
Looking forward to // Moving out of this hotel and into a permanent home. Decorating. Sleeping on my own mattress. Being able to have a plant. Cooking my first meal on my own cookware.
