Before this month is over, I wanted to pop in real quick and play catch up. It was nice to take last week to not even worry about blogging. Truthfully, most days I am not worrying about blogging as I’m working on letting go of a lot.
Both girls just happen to be napping right now (HOLLA!) and I feel like writing, but it’s hard to come by on any sort of regular basis. That is where I am right now, but I’m at peace with it too.
Reading // The newest book in my favorite mystery series, Pushing Up Daisies by M.C. Beaton.
Drinking // all the seltzer because it’s hot and coconut coffee – so good iced!
Listening to // Coldplay and recently started digging the classical station in the car
Eating // Turkey burgers on repeat. I looooove these turkey burgers from Butterball. Add some sriracha to my ketchup and they are bomb.
I also finally found a plant-based protein powder that I really like. I’m already on my second tub of this stuff from IdealRaw.
Chocolate PB is soooo good. I wish it had more protein per serving (only 15 grams), but it’s my favorite go-to snack or breakfast.
Wearing // As little as possible because HEAT. Mostly dresses.
Loving // My new mini office area.
We originally had this desk and a bookcase in our living room next to the couch, but there just wasn’t any flow. We moved our entry way table to the living room and moved the desk where the entry way table is an spruced it up a bit. It’s working really well!
Craving // A haircut. I seriously want to chop all my hair off.
My husband loves my long hair and I’ve never minded it being long until we lived here. I just wear it in a pony tail EVERY day.
I have a hair cut scheduled for next week though, so we’ll see what happens!
Wanting // A new suit (or like 5!). Besides one top and maternity suits, I still haven’t invested in some good suits since we moved here! Even if I’m not exactly the weight I want to be right now, I’m going to get at least one new suit next month because wearing the same one every time is getting old!
Happy about // Finding a therapist. I had been wanting to find one all year, really, but trying to figure out childcare was tough.
I got a recommendation from a friend and just love this lady she recommended. I also feel like I finally got over my fear of leaving the girls with anyone and found an amazing sitter, another mom with two little girls who Claire plays really well with. It’s been tough to get over the hump and just do this but I’m glad I took the plunge.
Scared to // Be a single parent for most of August. Hubby has a trip to the mainland for work. Send me all the coffee and a nanny please.
Looking forward to // Going to Maui! We just booked a short trip for the beginning of September 🙂
Have a great weekend!
