Hey guys! Are you sick like the rest of the world? I started coming down with something Saturday night and it has only gotten worse since then. Not feeling too hot, but thankfully I have the option to take the afternoon off today.
In lieu of sickness, I made an orange dreamsicle shake with an added banana & some toast for breakfast. Vitamin C, right?
I ran out to the store real quick because I realized I had nothing to eat for lunch and was out of Kleenex. Hopefully these little Halloween Kleenex cheer me up some. And if not, I got the new carrot cake Luna Bar for a treat.
For lunch, I got some organic French onion soup. Whenever I’m sick, I pretty much only want to eat soup. It just feels so good & makes me feel better.

No Caffeine for Me
Okay, so you’re probably wondering what’s up with the title of this post. Well, remember my said breathing issues with shortness of breath? All my test results came back totally normal. My docs couldn’t find anything wrong with anything even remotely related to my lungs or breathing, but I was still having symptoms.
I took matters into my own hands, and the past few weeks have been a trial and error of sorts. I started to notice that I get shortness of breath when I’m anxious. I started to experiment, and long story short, I’ve figured out that caffeine specially from coffee may have been causing my shortness of breath.
I have been coffee-free for two weeks now and I have had no breathing issues at all. I can, however, still have caffeine from tea, but certain chai tea is still bothersome. I seriously notice the issues coming back within 20 minutes of having coffee or a highly caffeinated tea. And then the feeling lasts for a long time. Not fun.
For those of you that known anything about me at all, you know that I LOVE COFFEE. So this is quite depressing news for me. After this week, I’m going to start trying to see if I can do half-caff so I can still enjoy my flavored coffees (since there are ZERO flavored decafs that don’t taste like cardboard). But I am glad that I think I finally figured out what was wrong.
Well, I think a good nap is in order to shake the sickness. Have a nice afternoon!
