Happy Friday! It’s time for a coffee date.
If we were having coffee today, I would tell you…
…that blogging just hasn’t been my thing lately. Something about it just totally didn’t interest me this week. Maybe it’s my way of preparing for how blogging may change once baby gets here. I’m not really sure, but I have enjoyed the break and am going to continue doing whatever feels right. But I have missed reading blogs so that is going to resume as soon as I’m done with this post!
…that baking has been my thing lately. I made these healthy blueberry muffins from Alysia a few days ago.
Oh man. Make them. They are so tasty and have this really unique flavor that I’ve never had in a muffin before.
This morning I also made my low-fat chocolate chip scone recipe, but with currants & made them huge instead of mini (as pictured above). Can I just live off of muffins and scones, please?
…that I have 21 days until my due date. And that this is all I can think about. I know it’s probably not healthy to dwell on a date that really doesn’t mean much, but it’s all I have to go off of. I am still banking on her coming early. I can’t decide if that’s just wishful thinking or if I really have some kind of mother’s intuition.
I’ve also had pretty much every sign that “labor is coming soon” in the books, but I think it all really means nothing. Or the term “soon” isn’t really that soon. It’s just a waiting game now.
…that hubby surprised me with some roses this morning.
He came home late last night and left them out this morning. I can’t help but think the three roses symbolizes our family becoming three instead of two.
…that I’ve officially been on bed rest and out of work for three whole weeks now. Being home has actually been a lot better than I thought it would be. I’m letting myself take naps, read all I want, and just be lazy. I honestly don’t have the energy for much more. I think I’ll feel good knowing I gave myself time to rest before motherhood begins.
…that the nursery is done!
Despite what I said on Monday, I think the nursery turned out super cute for basically just throwing it together and not going all out. I’ll share a full details post of it sometime soon.
