Happy Friday & St. Patty’s Day!
I’m not really a St. Patty’s Day person, and especially this year since I can’t even enjoy a good beer – meh! But I can get down with shamrock shakes 😉
If we were having coffee today, I’d tell you that…
I feel infinitely better than the last time I wrote one of these posts. I credit it to staying off social media (with the exception of the blog) as much as possible and finally getting some relief for my back pain. I meant to start seeing a chiropractic/physical therapy clinic around 28 weeks pregnant but got super sick, so I had to cancel my appointments.
Even though it took me forever, I am so glad I am going now. Between adjustments, some massage, & PT exercises, I feel like a million bucks when I leave the clinic. I think it’s really helping reduce my anxiety and not living in pain 24/7 is wonderful. I have my good days and bad days, but overall I feel decent lately.
This time next month, I will have a newborn baby and a two year old. WHAT?! If you asked me if I feel ready, I definitely feel ready to not be pregnant anymore and to meet Stella, but there is zero part of me that feels ready to have a newborn and a crazy toddler around. I just keep telling myself that tons of other people do it, so I will figure it out too, right?
I got my first Book of the Month Club subscription box.
I had been debating on changing my monthly subscription box for months now. I got BirchBox for a long time, but with me going through a newborn phase again soon, the last thing I really need is more mascara that I’m not gonna wear.
I had a coupon code to get my first box for $5 so I went for it. It is $15 a month (paid in 3 months at a time) when you subscribe full price. Seems kinda pricey to me for only one book a month, but they are all new release hard backs and from what I know it’s actually usually cheaper than Amazon. You get to choose from 5 different books each month. All the picks look so interesting too!
Maybe getting a book subscription right before having a baby was also dumb, but I hope it keeps me motivated to still read! 😉
I’m really enjoying blogging lately, which is saying a lot considering how I felt about it in November. Being housebound a lot more lately due to really slowing down in these last weeks of pregnancy coupled with potty training, which makes me never want to leave the house, blogging has provided something for just me that I can work on that isn’t chores, etc.
I’ve been loving it now, but I do think I’ll inevitably take a big step back once Stella does arrive. I have no intent of trying to be super mom and “do it all” in the early days. I am looking forward to reviewing some fun baby products soon and documenting monthly updates for Stella, though.
I had a mommy & me photo session with Claire two weeks ago. I found a photographer in a group I’m part of whose work I just fell in love with. She is about to move away so I was really lucky to be able to use her.

I knew the photos would be amazing, but like… I am blown away. And I am so glad I did this to document “just the two of us” one last time. I can’t wait to frame them all soon!
I am in full on nesting mode right now. I have always been a clean freak, but lately it’s like, if the house is not perfect at all times, I feel like my mama radar is on high alert and things have to be cleaned. It’s just this very deep desire right now.
I told this to my husband but he was like “so, you’ve been nesting for what… the last five years?” LOL. Yeah, I am kind of clean person I suppose. It’s just in extra high gear right now.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
