I finally feel like life is back to normal today! After not having a normal weekend with the race and all, this week has been quite the balancing act already. I took Monday & Tuesday off from working out altogether to give myself some time to heal/rest from the half. I’m feeling ready to move today and am going to give an easy run a try on my lunch break today.
Life has been pretty mundane with chores and catching up, but here’s some little things that have made me happy lately.
I’m trying to make a good and clean chocolate peanut butter mug cake recipe. I made this guy last night, but it just wasn’t quite sweet enough.
Oh, darn – I have to try again 😉 Hopefully I’ll have a yummy recipe to share soon.
I have never been a plant person, but I think that is going to change soon. Over the weekend while I was gone, my Amaryllis plant bloomed and it makes me so happy!
I also got this cute little guy for my desk at work. My desk needed a little something. Despite the cold in Boston, the plants make me feel like it’s spring 🙂
It’s the little things, right?
What’s really making me happy, though, is that I’ve started the first stages of packing. Yes, this pathetically small pile is my version of “starting to pack.”
The next couple weeks are going to consist of a lot of packing, I presume. The fact that it’s started (even if I’ve only packed one box), makes me happy. I leave a lot to the last-minute, but packing is not something I want to be scrambling with!
Have a happy Wednesday!
Questions for You:
- Are you a plant person? Can you get things to grow? Usually I am terrible. Hopefully I can keep these suckers alive!
- What’s for dinner tonight?
