Woo hoo! I feel like I am getting in the final stretches here. Time seems to be going by quickly (but we’ll see how I feel in those final weeks). I feel that doing these updates every two weeks helps me look at time in bigger chunks and makes it go by faster.
How I’m Feeling: Pretty darn good. I feel like I’ve enjoyed the past 2-3 weeks of pregnancy or so much more than any other part. Everyone raves about the second trimester being good, but I personally thought my second tri was awful. I feel great now and I am so thankful for that! I definitely feel like I have much more energy and have been using that to my advantage to get things done before she gets here.
Weight Gain: haven’t checked since last time, but I don’t feel like I’m gaining as much. I haven’t noticed any clothes getting super tight or anything, so that’s good. Overall, I’m feeling more comfortable being so many more pounds up. It feels a little more “normal” now.
Maternity Clothes: Still in full-panel pants only. I’m finding some maternity tops are getting a little too snug, but I can start using some of my maternity hand-me-downs that previously looked like a tent before.
Sleep: pretty bad most the time. Rolling over takes all my effort. I don’t even want to know what it will feel like to roll over when I’m full term! I also can’t lay down without having INSANE heartburn, so that makes sleep a lot less enjoyable.
Fitness: so good! I’ve been doing PiYo pretty consistently for the past 3 weeks with some other random workout videos thrown in. Last week was great for fitness. This week my motivation seems to be waning, probably due to the weather.
I am still seriously missing running, so much so that I even debated trying to run again. But I’m pretty sure as soon as I feel the need to go, which will be instantly, I’d want to give up again. I’m already wishing I could plan post-baby races, but I won’t even go there until I see how I feel after birth.
Gender: still a girl 🙂
Craving: omg, cravings have definitely hit me. What am I not craving?
- fruit snacks
- all bakery things: scones, muffins, breads, croissants, donuts
- ice cream
$1 single serving ice creams? I may have picked up 3 of these last week… 🙂
Food Aversions: Lately, I have a hard time deciding what to eat. I look in the fridge and nothing sounds good. It’s also really hard to eat anything larger than a snack sized meal now. If I eat too much even by just a bit, I feel awful & have instant heartburn. Because of that, food in general isn’t as appealing lately.
Missing: running, sleeping through the night,
Movement: all the time! Sometimes she moves so much that she wakes me up in my sleep now.
New for Baby: I caved and finally bought some things for her. Baby girl stuff is just too cute to keep resisting!
I got her a giraffe Wubbanub & some cute Carter’s Onesies. I also got her some really cute clothes from The Children’s Place. They had a great sale. I got some Onesies for $3.75! Most notably, I got her this adorable dress.
Not practical at all, but we are going to a wedding shortly after she’s born & the dress I’m wearing is mint green, so I thought we could match. And yes, all her clothing might be mint green and coral. 😉
Most looking forward to: going to Colorado tomorrow & my baby shower Saturday! Leaving my job (I am sooooo done already). And meeting my baby girl!
